Staff Canteen Chef - Central London

(Monday to Friday)

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Staff Restaurant Manager to join our talented team in our staff restaurant, The Yard. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and improving the delicious selection for colleagues in The Yard.

In the role of Staff Restaurant Manager, your key focus will be to:

• work with the Executive Sous Chef in providing healthy meals for colleagues
• ensure correct preparation, cooking and presentation of food
• work on projects eg themed meals, Christmas lunch, staff parties
• deliver an efficient and smooth service at all times
• work independently and resourcefully with minimal supervision
• collaborate with the Canteen Assistant to deliver and exceptional dining experience for colleagues

Do you have? –

• previous similar experience as a professional chef
• knowledge of healthy diets and a variety of local and international cuisine
• experience with large volume covers, catering to up to 350 colleagues/day
• good interpersonal and communication skills
• understanding of excellent customer service and is engaging and adaptable
• food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
