More about the role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • To triage and resolve support tickets logged by the Finance Teams. This may involve an understanding of other software solutions which integrate with SAP
  • To undertake technical impact assessments, analysis work, design, technical specification, configuration, solution delivery and unit testing within the Finance and Controlling modules, to provide support to users of the SAP system, delivery of legislative changes and small enhancements
  • To work with our external support partners and system integrators to ensure support tickets are resolved in a timely manner. This will include core Finance processes, bank processing and inbound / outbound data integration between SAP ECC6 and other SAAS based applications.
  • Work collaboratively with other D&T project teams to ensure new solutions and functionality are handed over to the Product Support Team
  • Provide input to product roadmaps and services to support decommissions, enhancements and any product rationalisation
Who you are:

We're looking for an experienced SAP Finance professional with strong technical and customer engagement skills. You'll have excellent time management and prioritisation skills as there is a high volume of support requests. You'll engage with a variety of stakeholders and be involved in ongoing process improvements, so the ability to adapt to change is important.

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong 'subject matter expertise' & a maturity in approach when engaging with and supporting the users and the wider Business.
  • The job holder must have excellent communication, listening and problem solving skills, be able to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written and oral communications with all levels of the organisation.
  • Possess excellent organisational & analytical skills with an ability to work independently.
  • A 'can do' attitude with a proven ability to work at pace and deliver SLA's as defined by senior leadership team.
  • Ability to work on their own, to meet agreed timelines and drive out resolutions to problems.
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving abilities with the necessary urgency and responsiveness to incidents, problems and their resolution
  • An organised working practice with a mature and calm approach to all user situations
  • Ability to write clear procedures including technical and user documentation

Essential Skills

  • A sound knowledge of Finance business processes
  • Extensive experience in SAP Finance and Controlling configuration in ECC6:
    • 5 years SAP FICO experience across 2 or more project life cycles
    • Core SAP Finance skills across but not limited to AP, AR, GL, AA;
    • SD, MM, HR integration skills;

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA;
  • SAP Finance certification
  • Knowledge of MM and SD modules
  • Experience of building interfaces to/from SAP and understanding of BAPI's, function modules and iDocs

The SAP Finance Support Analyst will work across the Compass UK & Ireland business sectors and Supporting functions in Compass UK&I predominantly in the SAP Finance and Controlling space, with an opportunity to learn new skills in other areas of SAP. They will work with other Digital and Technology teams, key strategic partners and the wider business enhancing and developing the existing Compass SAP Finance systems and in time support the migration of legacy finance systems to a new strategic SAP S/4 HANA solution.
