Salary: Up to £1,000 PCM + Accommodation, Flights, Food + Commission & Great Overall Package

Our Spas provide an additional touch of luxury to our resorts and allow our guests to indulge in some well-deserved ‘me’ time.

As a Spa Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our Spa and wellness centres. You’ll lead from the front in the promotion of Neilson’s relax, restore & revive philosophy that our guests have got to know and love.

You’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day operation to maximise treatments and retail sales, to exceed set financial targets, and to provide a high level of customer satisfaction with our spa product.

As an NVQ level 3 beauty therapist (or equivalent), you’ll be passionate about providing excellent treatments, ensuring that your clients leave feeling on top of the world and enthusiastic to perhaps book again during their stay.

You’ll be working with products provided by the luxury brand, Temple Spa. You’ll be given thorough product support/training to ensure that both you and your team are always able to deliver excellent treatments that complement your professional and personable approach.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • You must lead from the front with strong communication skills
  • You will be experienced in managing spas and know that it takes dedication and enthusiasm to ensure your team work closely together to deliver the ultimate, luxury spa experience
  • Service that sells – you will be focused on ensuring that our guests want to take their spa experience home with them by introducing our range of products to complement all our treatments
  • Confident and charismatic – You’ll ensure the team build positive and engaging rapport with all our guests to give our spa experience the WOW factor
  • Upsell treatments and retail to maximise spa sales
  • Ensure that all spa and beauty bookings are made in the most effective and productive manner to maximise treatment opportunities
  • Lead the way by showing a willingness to perform all spa treatments to a high standard as set during training
  • To be well presented and proud to wear the Neilson spa uniform
  • Carry out spa treatments and services to a high standard
  • Actively maintain a good knowledge of all spa services and products, attending spa training sessions and regular refreshment with manuals provided
  • To ensure that all agreed targets regarding Key Performance Indicators are achieved
  • To ensure that the spa and other beauty outlets are presented in excellent visual presentation, taking responsibility for all treatment areas
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed accordingly
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and instructions accordingly to ensure a safe spa and hotel
  • To actively report any issues relating to the operation and additional ideas for improvements to the Hotel Manager
  • To always seek direct feedback from our guests and report feedback to managers
  • Display excellent customer service, support, and awareness at all times
  • Demonstrate an outstanding, overall knowledge of Neilson products to advise our guests
  • To assist the management of stock levels by following all usage guidelines set during training
  • To ensure the correct handling and security of retail and professional stock
  • Ensure the proper use of the spa POS system
  • To build rapport and develop and maintain positive working relationships with the spa team, management,  and all other team members
  • To carry out all other duties to assist with the smooth running of overseas operations as designated by your line Manager

  • To assist with the recruitment, appointment, induction and relevant training of new employees to ensure that the spa service levels are met at all times
  • To motivate therapists and encourage teamwork

Personal Skills, Knowledge, experience & Qualities:

Essential:

  • To be approachable, confident, knowledgeable, with excellent appearance and personal grooming
  • Organised, hardworking, honest, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, target orientated and keen to display a consistently high standard of service
  • The ability to confidently hold a conversation in English

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Basic understanding of computer systems such as word, excel, email
  • Capable of learning new programs and procedures quickly and accurately
  • Computer literate with a basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Email

Qualifications & Training:

  • Qualifications: Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Qualifications: Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 3 Hot Stone and Gel Manicure/Pedicure or equivalent
  • Preferred; management experience and Reflexology Qualification
  • Work Experience – Sales: 0 – 1 Year
  • Work Experience – Practical: 1 – 2 Years
  • A valid UK/ EU work permit: Required

*For clarity, staff accommodation is either included in the package or deducted as part of the salary. This arrangement is resort specific. No employee will incur any loss of earnings due to the fact that the wage for each role is balanced across the entire programme.
