HR Director - Premium Leisure Brand


An exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR Director to work for a premium leisure business with a headcount of 400 and a turnover of £12m.

Offering hybrid working, typically 2 days a week working from a Central London Head Office with the rest of the week working from home or travelling to the business units, requiring occasional overnight stays.

We are eager to talk to CIPD qualified candidates with significant experience working within a senior HR capacity within the broad leisure or hospitality sectors.

You will be working very closely with the CEO and as a key figure in the Senior management team will be given considerable autonomy to manage the HR function.

You will need to exhibit first class judgment, influencing and commercial skills and thrive in a stand-alone role within HR.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strong people and resource management, planning and analysis for the business.
  • Accountable for all people processes, procedures and ways of working.
  • To provide leadership and deliver training in driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • To lead on creation and delivery of corporate ESG objectives.
  • To take responsibility for all employment legal, statutory and mandatory requirements.
  • To be fully competent at utilising all elements of the HR & payroll management system.
  • Project manage group recruitment attraction and retention policies.
  • Advise, guide and coach the GM's within each business unit on Best HR practice.
  • Chair Executive Management Meetings.

In addition to a competitive basic salary of c90K, the position offers a Director's discretionary annual bonus, 5 weeks holiday, stakeholder pension and significant employee discounts for friends and family at the centres.
