General Manager

45-50k Basic plus discretionary bonus

The General Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the Peppermint operations on site at Freight Island and reports directly into the Peppermint Directors. Day to day their role is to ensure operational and licensing procedures are being upheld

The General Manager will lead on all tactical decision making and will be the senior decision maker on site for Peppermint, working closely with the Freight Island team, the general manager is responsible for ensuring staff & stock targets are being met.

You should have strong commercial thinking and exceptional planning, organisation and collaboration skills

THE ROLE

• Drive the implementation of new and innovative strategies and will ensure a positive experience for all guests and increase SPH.
• Work collaboratively with Freight Island to ensure operations are running smoothly and in sync with one another.
• Establish and maintain high standard of staff performance and exceptional customer service.
• Ensure the operations team hold daily shift briefings to keep everyone informed.
• Communicate changes in processes to all relevant teams.
• Support Freight Island in delivering the venue's strategy and vision.
• Ensure staffing levels are at the correct levels at all times and people are recruited into the right roles.
• Ensuring on site budget targets are being met (staffing, stock & fixed costs)
• Perform quality controls and monitor team KPI's & performance
• Develop the team to be the best that they can be. Promote from within and build a team spirit to create a happy working environment.
• Oversight of recruitment & staffing procedures, with support from the team.
• Oversight of drink menus
• To control the financial performance of the business, seeking to exceed targets and margins set.
• To ensure that company & venue policies are being upheld.
• Regularly meet with the Freight Island team to communicate changes, improvements.
• To ensure Peppermint and venue H&S is upheld doing spot checks.
• To ensure that paperwork is being correctly completed by all departments.
• To ensure reporting to Peppermint head office & Freight Island is being upheld by all senior management.
• Ensure that venue EPOS is working correctly and communicate any problems to Peppermint head office.

Operational responsibilities

• Lead weekly rota side off
• Lead weekly update meetings with Freight Island.
• Nominated DPS
• Responsible for on site spending sign off
• Working with Peppermint FOH event managers to ensure customer service

Hours

• Up to 48h per week
• Full time
