Due to rapid business growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join a vibrant events company. Peppermint provide high-performance bar and event solutions to the world's best entertainment businesses and consumer brands. Our core business is operating festival & event bars, brand activation and conjoined retail-led F&B solutions to the UK's best festivals and outdoor events such as British Summer Time, Camp Bestival, All Points East and many more.

The recent partnership with Levy (Compass UK) has lead our established business into new sectors within sports and stadium arena across the UK and Ireland at world class venues such as the 02 Arena, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Cheltenham Racecourse, Aviva Stadium and Wimbledon. This role will be based in London providing financial support at the Freight Island venue in Manchester and will involve travel to the venue fortnightly.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized and driven individual to take financial accountability of Freight Island, working collaboratively with the project teams to manage project spend and working closely with the Finance team to provide accurate and timely data. As part of a small team you will gain exposure to all areas of finance and more, playing a pivotal role in the department.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

FINANCE

• Month end closedown for Freight Island
• Regular analysis of income, GP%, staffing costs
• Assist in preparing the Freight Island annual budget and reforecasts / rolling forecast
• Assist with year end audit
• Oversee weekly payment runs for Freight Island
• Assist the Finance team in any other ad hoc projects and events.

EVENTS

• Producing ad-hoc budgets and projections for the Directors
• Reconcile card and cash takings to accurately report and recognise revenue
• Owning the event budget from a Finance perspective and challenging any overspends
• Ensuring PO's have been raised and approved for all committed costs
• Liaising with Operations and Management to ensure correct and timely client reporting
• Working with Project Manager to reconcile project against budget and report on variances
• Producing analysis reports to identify trends to help onsite operations

OTHER

• Develop detailed understanding of Freight Island to set up and improve processes
• Liaise with stock team to ensure accurate reporting of stock financials
• Desire to progress and learn about the events and entertainment sector
