A rare opportunity has arisen for a General Manager for our lovely Destination pub with a family golf course and driving range, The Kings Mead in Ware.

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to run the Kings Mead, part of our Destination Inns concept. This pub is for all seasons with handsomely decorated surroundings inside and out, a charming pub with roaring real log fires, heated patio and large restaurant full of cosy private nooks and crannies. Part of the McMullen family since 1950, rebuilt in 2017, this is seriously relaxed dining with a family golfing centre to boot.

This is a great food business with a strong reputation locally and potential to grow now that life is returning to normal. The right candidate will have a proven track record of growing sales in a food led business, a strong people skillset and a desire to build and lead an engaged team. A love of food is important, chefs' recommendations are key to the Destination concept as well as exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic problem solver who wants to make this pub stand out by putting their own stamp on the business, developing a strong team, engaging guests through events and social media but most of all focussing on the basics to ensure we deliver the Destination experience. Knowledge of golf advantageous but not essential.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of up to 42,000 per annum dependant on experience
