Leisure – Leisure Team Apprenticeship - Level 2

We are looking for apprentices to join our team working in one of our 9 swimming pool facilities undertaking a range of activities and achieving qualifications in lifeguarding, swimming teaching & gym instruction.

This apprenticeship will give you experience in the leisure industry, and is an ideal entry level position for someone wanting a career within leisure. 

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate good people skills and be happy to work in a variety of situations & teams. There will be shift work to include early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Candidates will need to have a relatively good swimming ability & will undertake a swimming test as part of the application process.

We recruited our first apprentices in 2015 and since then have employed 53 people in a diverse range of roles. Some have since started their progression into management roles or are delivering Personal Trainer programmes for customers.

We work closely with our training providers to deliver high-quality apprenticeships that cover personal development and soft skills as well as the core educational elements of the apprenticeship.

Pay & Benefits

• 18-month (approx.) apprenticeship programme
• 37 hours per week including early mornings, evenings & weekends (operational roles)
• Performance based pay increases every 6 months starting at £12,540 (current rates) per year with 6 monthly performance-based increases
• 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5-years service)
• Staff membership of leisure facilities at very reduced rates
