Contract Type - Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Oncology Physiotherapist to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. You will be responsible for a full clinical inpatient caseload, whilst also supporting the Clinical Lead Oncology Physiotherapist and Inpatient Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Lead with service development initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To be responsible for a majority medical and post op Oncology clinical caseload, providing high quality Physiotherapy care to patients across the London Bridge Hospital campus.

  • To be able to provide clinical support across all specialities, including Intensive care, general surgery, orthopaedics and cardiorespiratory.

  • Use expert clinical reasoning to provide specialist intervention, support and advice to patients, ensuring best practice is applied at all times

  • To support the Clinical Specialist Respiratory and Oncology Physiotherapist, aiding in the clinical development of the Oncology physiotherapy team and service.

  • To contribute to the management of the department, audit, clinical governance and to maintain personal CPD.

  • To support the senior clinicians and assistant with individual training needs and service development initiatives.

  • To communicate effectively with consultants across Oncology, Haematology, Gynaecology and Urology service lines, developing and building professional relationships.


Skills and experience

  • Experience in Oncology physiotherapy

  • Experience working within in-patient settings within an acute hospital

  • Experience working across other disciplines within physiotherapy e.g rotations

  • Appropriate training at MSc level or equivalent experiential development

  • HCPC registration
