About the role:

We are looking for a Portfolio Accountant to advise on financial planning and budgeting within the ITG team at HCA UK. This role will be responsible for developing financial plans and forecasts, monitoring and managing IT expenditure, ensuring that all IT financial targets are met, and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed budget. You will assist with the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision making, especially in the areas of service, projects and component cost models and the allocation and apportionment of all incurred IT costs. You will analyse actual expenditure, explain variances, and advise on options in use of available budget.

As the Portfolio Accountant you will be work closely with various functions such as Corporate Finance, ITG Management, Project Delivery advising on the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision making specifically within the IT Project Portfolio lifecycle along with looking at ways to improve processes and set up procedures for the future.

About You:

• Experience as a Portfolio Accountant applying electronic account systems and principles
• Ability to prepare project budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis
• Proven experience providing financial support, guidance and oversight for specific business projects including involvement in the financial aspects at all phases of the project lifecycle
• Comfortable, and with proven experience in reporting and presenting to the key stakeholders and members of the Project Management Team
• Detail orientated with advanced level skills in excel
