We have a fantastic brand new opportunity for a Sustainability Co-ordinator to work in our dynamic team at The Belfry Hotel and Resort, England’s leading Hotel and Resort. Our award winning resort has 320 bedrooms, Rosette standard dining, five food and beverage outlets, fantastic leisure facilities, and of course what we are famous for…golf.

About the role

This role is a part-time role, for 20 hours per week.

The Sustainability Co-ordinator will support and drive Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives across the resort, with the overarching goal of achieving and maintaining industry-recognised accreditations. This role will entail researching best practice and new initiatives to provide support and advice to the business. As our Sustainability Co-ordinator, you will liaise with a wide variety of external and internal stakeholders to track and progress ESG initiatives.

The duties of our Sustainability Co-ordinator include:

  • Contributing towards the setting of the ESG strategy and establishing ESG targets alongside the Senior Leadership Team
  • To drive the implementation of the ESG strategy and required actions with each department, ESG team, and event planners
  • Acting as the go-to person for all ESG related queries
  • Collate ESG data and support in the preparation of required reports
  • Organise the collation of project feedback from all areas of the business and drive the actions that come out of it
  • Managing projects and follow-up with ESG project leads whilst creating and developing a full calendar of projects and work streams
  • Organising the collation of ESG project feedback from all areas of the business
  • Organising, scheduling, and contributing to cross-departmental ESG meetings
  • Conducting and summarising ESG related research
  • Collation of ESG data and supporting the preparation of required reports
  • Managing accreditation sites and inputting of required information and data
  • Participating in the evaluation of ESG initiatives and reviewing successes
  • Supporting with the creation and distribution of ESG related internal and external communication

About you

To excel in this role, you will have exceptional communication skills at all levels. Our new Sustainability Coordinator will be able to articulate the purpose and value of ESG initiatives to a variety of stakeholders. Experience in a hotel or hospitality venue would be advantageous but is not a necessity, however experience / qualifications within an ESG role is a requirement.

Salary

The on target earning potential for this role is £14.04, compromising of a base salary of £13.19 plus a qualified estimate of £0.85p gratuities per hour
