Summary
We have several vacancies looking after our beautiful National Trust Holiday Cottages at various locations along the Exmoor Coast including Oare and Countisbury. The cottages are in remote areas, so we encourage you to check how you would get here before applying.
Hours: 5-10 hours a week. Average shift pattern 10am – 3.30pm Monday to Saturday’s.
The main changeover day will depend on which cottages you look after, however, short breaks and late bookings mean that changeover days can also fall on other days of the week, so flexibility is essential.
You'll have the opportunity to work additional hours if you wish to do so. Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible.
We are open to applicants who would like to work as a pair, please ensure you both apply for the vacancy.
Salary: £10.50 per hour from April
Duration: Permanent
Internally you will be known as 'Holidays Operation Assistant'

What you'll be doing
On change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include a thorough clean of the property, making beds, H&S compliance checks and leaving a welcome note and fresh milk for the guests. We’d also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies.
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff.
You’ll need to be able to organise your diary to accommodate all the bookings by email and phone.
We'll give you plenty of support and training with some E-learning modules and you’ll be very much part of a wider team.
