We're looking for three Food & Beverage Team Leaders to join us at Calke Abbey.

Hours: we have part-time and full-time hours available, you can work on average 4 days a week (1560 hours per year) or 5 days a week (1950 hours per year)

Some weekend working will be required.

This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. 

Salary: £9.90 per hour, this will increase to £10.78 per hour from 1st April 2023

Duration: permanent contract

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Assistant Managers, you'll be based at Calke Abbey, one of the East Midlands’ top 10 visitor attractions. The newly refurbished restaurant serves local and seasonal produce, including organically reared meat from the estate. As well as the house, Calke is popular with visitors looking to explore the gardens, pleasure grounds, stableyards, and the 600+ acre estate including an ancient deer park, wetland and nature reserve. Our popular commercial spaces such as the restaurant, café, pop-up refreshments and shop help to make much of Calke’s extensive conservation work possible.

What you'll be doing

With your love of working with people, positive attitude, and desire to provide an excellent service, you’ll welcome and look after every customer who visits our Food and Beverage outlet.

As a Team Leader you'll support the team daily to ensure we are compliant and that every food and drink order is beautifully presented and served with a smile. 

Using your excellent attention to detail, you’ll ensure all signage is displayed correctly and the food served, looks delicious. 

You'll receive a bespoke induction, allergen/food safety training and the coaching required to fulfil in role. Further professional training & development opportunities are available.

  • Helpful and friendly with a positive attitude

  • Able to lead and support a team daily.
