Executive Pastry Chef  

Our Daylesford family is growing, and we are looking for a passionate Executive Pastry Chef to join our busy team at Daylesford, based at our organic farm in Gloucestershire.

Full-Time contract, based on 45 hours per week, Usual shifts are 6.00 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday, however, flexibility would be needed to cover the needs of the business on a rota basis. Good work/life balance with No Evening work.

Compatible salary of £50-£55,000 PA Depending on experience

About the role

The executive pastry chef is responsible for ensuring that patisserie budget requirements are exceeded without compromising the patisserie teams’ ability to produce the highest quality Daylesford organic products

Uniforms and safety shoes are provided.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that staff complete all mandatory training in the required timescales
  • Ensure a smooth and structured onboard for your new hires, supporting your management team to deliver a consistent welcome
  • As Patisserie expert, share knowledge in-store and with marketing, to help grow sales
  • Respond to complaints and requests for information in a timely manner
  • Ensure the Patisserie team carry out all baking duties with care and diligence to guarantee the production of a consistently high standard of product, along with minimal levels of wastage
  • Ensure that cleaning standards are maintained at all times
  • Continually strive towards the improvement in quality of Patisserie products, and inspire the team to embody and fulfil this same ambition
  • Propose and develop a regular flow of new, innovative and best-in-class pastry products to excite our consumers
  • Manage sourcing and maintenance of equipment and consumables
