Compliance Technologist - Moreton-In-Marsh, Gloucestershire
We are hiring! Daylesford are looking for an experienced Compliance Technologist- for our Head Office situated in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Full-time position, working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am -6.00 pm with a Salary of £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience.

About the Role:
You will be fully accountable for all artwork, ensuring full compliance with outside regulatory & legal requirements for all markets, as well as compliance with all internal company standards.
They will pro-actively lead work to find solutions to existing and forthcoming regulatory issues affecting artwork, such as food labelling, nutrition, health and other marketing claims.
Required Experience:
- Experience in creating and approving artwork for food products, in the UK
- Excellent working knowledge of UK and EU food legislation and packaging claims requirements and their application to food packaging
- Sound technical knowledge and a willingness learn, and build-on experience already gained.
- Experience working with organic standards and regulations
- Understanding of nutritional calculations
- Understanding of packaging printing process would be advantageous
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Signs-off pack copies & final artwork and first point of contact for all artwork compliance queries.
- Provides guidance on UK, EU and International legislative labelling requirements.
- Ensures nutrition, health and other marketing claims comply with appropriate regulations and advertising standards.
- Supports the sourcing of ingredient and product specifications to ensure that the relevant legal and technical requirements are addressed during the procurement process.
- Maintain food and packaging supplier list, requesting documentation, screening and approving (existing suppliers)
- Maintain specifications for all existing ingredients & product and audit of existing, ensuring the raw material database is current (Raw materials & Third party finished products)
- Oversee and manage the certificate of analysis process for required ingredients
- Sourcing policy
- To provide feedback to Head of Technical for supplier reviews
