Sales Manager - Central London

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager – MICE to join our talented Sales and Marketing team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

As a Sales Manager - MICE you will be tasked with pro-active sales activities in order to source and develop new groups business for the hotel, and also to maintain and grow relationships with key accounts.  You will be reporting to the Director of Sales - MICE.

Your duties and responsibilities in the Sales Manager - MICE role will be:

  • To undertake sales calls and presentations to develop and grow relationships and maximize group room & catering revenue from assigned account base.
  • Prospecting - develop target list of new potential accounts by defined industry segment and undertake tele-sales and other prospecting activity to realise potential revenues.
  • To undertake face-to-face sales calls and achieve monthly sales call targets.
  • Undertake sales trips within territory as required and determined by annual sales trip and tradeshow planner.
  • Conduct site inspections, escort and host fam trips as required.
  • Attend pre-cons and post-event de-briefs as required.

Key requirements for the Sales Manager - MICE role are as follows:

  • Previous experience as a proactive Sales Manager within UK MICE market segment is essential
  • Luxury hotel experience, ideally within a comp set hotel is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Sales process
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Immaculate personal presentation
  • Customer focused
  • Driven/competitive individual who thrives on achieving of their targets
  • Previous use of Opera and Salesforce/Delphi systems is an advantage
