Exercise Specialist / Personal Trainer - Moorgate, London

Type: Full time – Permanent – Monday - Friday

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £23,500 + Off shift PT opportunity

About the role  

The role of a Exercise Specialist / PT role is central to providing our customers with a caring and proactive support service. Westfield Health are dedicated to making a healthy difference to the quality of life of our customers, and the Exercise Specialist / PT supports our mission by delivering and implementing the Westfield Health wellbeing programme to our client.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver a programme of onsite, 1-1 personal training sessions and group class at all levels.
  • Conducting initial fitness assessments, conducting 1 to 1 review sessions at regular intervals to ensure user engagement and member retention. Update training plans and/or re-evaluating clients as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Capabilities to work within team and support the day to day operation of the site.

Education and Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently hold an industry certificate such as Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training/Fitness Instructing and Personal Training

Desired:

  • REPS or CIMSPA accredited Level 3 Personal Training qualification or Sports Science degree
  • Ability to teach group-based activities  

Experience:

  • A proven track record of successfully working independently to establish training needs, develop interventions to meet these needs, and deliver high-quality health and wellbeing solutions and interventions as a result
  • Experience in teaching group fitness classes with emphasis on helping improve technique and ability
  • Minimum of two years of personal training coaching experience  

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication skills
  • A self-starter with strong planning and organising abilities
  • First class interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to engage, influence and coach others across the business to achieve buy in and engagement to support delivery of the wellbeing strategy
  • A passion and ethos for helping others with their health and wellbeing
  • A flexible approach
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite or related products
