We’re looking for a talented and experienced Finance Professional to join our team on property in this newly created role of Head of Finance

With hybrid. fixed term contract and flexible-working opportunities available, this hands-on role is integral to our Finance function – in fact your role will be critical in driving the future success of our business. There’s no “Head office”, that’s you…so this really IS a role, where you get to see the real impact of your decision making. 

What you will be doing 

Working closely with the Private Equity Owners CFO, the Head of Finance will be their first point of contact for all financial information and input. As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • the day to day running of the Finance team, as well as providing high level, strategic direction for the future financial performance of the Hotel.
  • providing a financial reporting service to Hotel Management to assist in achieving our strategic and tactical objectives. 
  • ensuring that accounting records accurately reflect all financial transactions.
  • ensuring financial controls are in place and all financial transactions adhere to and work within the framework of the company financial policy and procedures. 
  • preparing and managing Cash Flow, providing VAT reporting, preparing year end Statutory Accounts, and managing the annual statutory year end reporting process. 
  • preparing and supporting with the management of Capital investment feasibility, focusing on the cost/benefit analysis for the Hotel

Is this role right for you?

You must be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, with 5+ years post-qualified experience. You’ll have a strong track record working within an entrepreneurial dynamic “independent” business environment, as well as experience working in a corporate organisation, or working with Private Equity investors. 

Previous experience of leading a finance team, and experience within the hospitality, or tourism environment are also essential.
