What you'll be doing

For us, facilities aren’t a back office function, so you’ll be out and about inspecting our properties and keeping on top of our systems! As part of the property team you’ll report into the General Manager, and be accountable for the running of all aspects of facilities management across our properties, making sure we are safe and compliant. This role manages our support services as well and you'll act as a Duty Manager on rota.

You'll work closely with the building surveyor and property team to help look after a wide variety of structures and buildings across the Lizard & Penrose property, from vernacular farm buildings, walled gardens, and residential cottages to a working harbour and historic mansion.

You'll manage a small team of staff and volunteers and work closely with the rangers and visitor welcome team to ensure the property remains a safe, compliant and enjoyable place to work, live and visit.

  • Good experience of broad compliance and risk management, including knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, Emergency procedures and Fire & Security procedures.
