Kings Camps is an organisation that's all about getting children active, and provides access to around 40 UK swimming pools for children to build their water confidence in the school holidays, across England, Scotland and Wales.

 

 

 

With increasingly limited access to swimming pools, we believe there's never been a time when children's swimming ability - literally a life-or-death issue - has been so important.

 

We're looking for a National Swim Coordinator to facilitate the successful delivery of our swimming programme. You'll develop partnerships with governing bodies, swim schools and local providers to generate a continual pipeline of qualified swimming teachers and lifeguards, all whilst increasing awareness of our brand and mission.

 

You'll be working across our Recruitment and Operations teams, liaising with venue partners and facility managers, ensuring we've adequate pool time, that all individuals are inducted within the safe operating procedures for each site, and be solution focussed to overcome any challenges in delivering a fun, safe and engaging swimming programme for children aged 5 to 15.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Travel across the UK, attracting partners to our organisation, increasing awareness of our opportunities, our brand and mission
  • Ensure the organisation complies with current legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to service provision
  • Develop new and existing relationships with governing bodies, swim schools and local partners raising awareness of opportunities for swim teaching and lifeguarding opportunities in the school holidays
  • Engaging in/ hosting employability activities and events (employer panels, careers fairs, workshops)
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to maximise the reach of our recruitment campaigns
  • Work with the Head of Recruitment to meet targets and deadlines, including swim teacher retention
  • Work with the Head of Operations on organisation Health and safety and child welfare compliance and assisting with revision to manuals, resources and documents.
  • Feed back on activities, engagement and industry data
  • Liaise with venue partners and facility managers to ensure we have enough pool time, access and we're working within the NOP for each site
  • Arrange depth tests and / or ongoing training where appropriate for swimming teachers and lifeguards

 

Ideal Personal Specification

  • First-hand experience of relationship building, engagement and networking
  • Fully supportive of the mission and values of The Kings Active Foundation
  • Ideally hold experience within the swimming industry as a competitor, teacher, assessor, trainer or coordinator.
  • Understanding the potential impact of not having appropriate recruitment, induction and probation procedures in place.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced and confident in Public Speaking
  • Friendly, lively and engaging approach
  • Self-motivated and driven to work towards targets
  • Driving licence and use of own vehicle
  • Good level of IT skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK

  • Salary 26,000-28,000 per annum DOE
