Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House Hotel’s striking design is inspired by former resident who was a British Naval Officer renowned for making many important discoveries during his Antarctic voyage. Contemporary design elements throughout the property are inspired by this expedition in a way that evokes curiosity among guests to learn more about the fascinating history behind the building.

In this role you’re a real organiser, who loves leading and motivating your team with a hands on approach. You will be driving the brand strategy in all elements of the business to set Mercure Dumfries apart from the competition as a preferred employer and destination to stay, eat and drink.

The hotel is a new opening only opened in January 2023, It is still in its infantcy requires the idea candidate with experience on coaching and developing people. This is not a 9-5 role and the candidate must be flexible in their working hours to ensure that the team are fully supported.
