Aquatic Centre Manager - Smethwick, West Midlands

Location: Role initially based at Smethwick B67 until the opening of Sandwell Aquatic Centre.

Hours: 37 hours per week including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Salary: £50,607 per annum (Grade 9)

After successfully hosting the Commonwealth Games’ swimming and diving events, the new Sandwell Aquatics Centre is currently being transformed into a state-of-the-art local leisure centre for Sandwell and the region, and will open to the public in Summer 2023.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and drive the commercial performance, ensuring excellent service delivery of Sandwell’s £80m Sandwell Aquatic Centre.
  • Work closely with key leading stakeholders from across the spectrum of leisure, health and aquatic sport.
  • Capitalise on opportunities for sustained growth, high performance and ensure that the Commonwealth legacy plan is delivered.

  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills as you ensure a smooth, professional, and enjoyable experience throughout a customer's journey, whether that be in lessons or squads.
