Retail Assistant - Condover, Shrewsbury

JCA’s flagship activity centre is Condover Hall which is based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Condover Hall boasts over 40 different activities to choose from and can host over 500 guests at one time – a super exciting and unique place to work!

We are looking for a full-time Retail Assistant to join our vibrant team at Condover Hall. This is a seasonal vacancy from January 2023 to November 2023, with the option of returning in 2024.

What will I be doing?

We are looking for someone to work in our on-site gift shop.

Some of your duties will include:

• Physical tasks such as putting away deliveries, lifting and moving sometimes heavy boxes of drinks and merchandise and being on your feet for a large part of the day including using stairs
• Serving customers
• Cashing-up
• Performing monthly stock checks
• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are effectively carried out

We are looking for someone who has a passion for customer service and a can-do attitude. You must be able to work under your own initiative and have a keen eye for detail. This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking to pursue a career in customer service.

Proven experience in a similar position is desirable but not essential. Full training is provided!

• You must be able to make your own way to Condover Hall as accommodation is not provided
• January to November contract with the option of returning in 2024
• Full-time hours, 40 per week
• The role is paid at £10 per hour
