Project Manager - Swindon

Summary

Are you brilliant at managing complex projects? Can you build effective working relationships quickly at all levels?  We're looking for a Project Manager to manage the acquisition of our new London office, including the fit out programme for the new site and exit from our existing office. Working within established project management principles, you'll deliver this office relocation project, taking into account stakeholders' requirements and our organisational priorities.
This is a 18-month fixed-term contract opportunity.

What it's like to work here

We're bigger than you think, we're more complicated than we appear and we're larger scale than you'd imagine. We've got passionate people in all our teams, and we've got so much more we want to achieve. We're for ever, for everyone and we really mean that. We don't want to stop at 5.5 million members and we want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to our places, so we need to reach new audiences in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them without losing the hearts and minds of those that are already with us.

Your contractual location will be our  Heelis head office, situated in Swindon, Wiltshire. We're well placed, with ample parking nearby, a shopping outlet with plenty of options for places to eat, and the town centre only a 10 minute walk away. Alternatively you can enjoy our open plan atrium space for lunch times, with our internal cafe available every day.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for delivering our new office in London, working closely with our teams based there to understand their needs, and our property agents to assess a range of options to meet our requirements.
Hybrid working is embedded in how we work now, and we need an office which caters for this, as well as the ability to host high level external meetings. Somewhere in which the Trust could be proud of, which reflects our organisational priorities of inclusion and sustainability and which creates a great space for our people to work in. You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders up to executive level and you’ll manage, negotiate with and influence external contractors.
You’ll be adept at managing competing priorities, experienced in creating communication plans and confident in delivering a complex project.
We are an organisation about people and places and we’re looking for a committed individual who can confidently lead a project, keeping the focus on what’s right for our people and organisation both now and in the future.

Who we're looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading procurement securing project teams and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes
  • A recognised project (AMP PMQ/Prince) or programme management (MSP) qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills, able to confidently work with senior leaders
  • Experience of managing complex and difficult external stakeholder relationships
