Summary

National Trust shops are stocked with a wide range of exciting products – from traditional favourites to new arrivals every season. We’re a multi-million-pound retail chain with 110 shops in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and a fast-growing ecommerce operation.
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to help us pick stock to be sent to the gift shops at National Trust properties across the country.Training will be given, so previous Warehouse Operative experience isn’t necessary, it is more about the enthusiasm and motivation you can bring to help our team provide a first-class service to the business.
This role permanent, and 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

What you'll be doing

The warehouse is open Monday to Friday, 7am until 4.30pm, although the core hours for this role are expected to be 8.30am until 4.30pm.
You will be joining a small team, and using pump trucks (manual and electric) and a handheld scanner, you’ll select the ordered products from the warehouse shelving and placing on to a pallet that will then be packaged ready for delivery to our gift shops.
We do monitor pick rates to ensure that we get stock out on time, but you will be helped and guided to help you achieve those targets.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
• Attention to detail, you’ll need to be able to pick stock accurately • Communication skills, able to highlight any issues or errors and communicate with your team• Ability to work as part of team or on your own, you’ll pick on your own (after training) but will always have team members around• Self-motivated to meet goals and display a positive attitude • Able to work in a physical environment which may include lifting and being on your feet for a period of time. Our box weight maximum is 15kg
