Warehouse Assistant - Rayleigh, Essex

Job Type: 6 month FTC

Salary: £22,000 pro rata

Hours: 40 hours per week

Mon-Fri with occasional weekend / eve work to meet the needs of the business                                

As a Warehouse Assistant based in Rayleigh you will be vital to the success of the operational function of the business. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to help organise the kit required to run the camps as well as picking and packing ahead of each holiday period.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Warehouse Manager in receiving new kit for the camps and ensuring appropriate storage, organisation, and cleanliness while working to correct safety measures.
  • Prepare kit to go out to the camp venues ahead of each operating period, then receiving and storage of kit at the end of each holiday.
  • Provide support to all Operations Managers within the business, to ensure all the camps have what they need, when they need it and that we have additional stock to replenish the camps as we need to.
  • You will be supported by a team of part time Warehouse Logistics Support personnel who will help prepare and load vehicles with the kit and then drive the kit to the camp venues at allotted times. You will need to set expectations of how the kit should be handled, packed, transported and delivered.
  • Support in the maintenance of equipment or warehouse vehicles as instructed by the Warehouse Manager.

  • Experience working in a warehouse with high demand periods
  • Excellent communicator with enthusiasm and energy
  • Hardworking
  • Solid awareness / knowledge of health and safety and best practice
  • Ability to adapt and use initiative
  • Experience of driving long wheelbase / transit vans
  • Able to work long / irregular hours during the Camp periods
