As well having an array of stunning product ranges developed and chosen by our Central in-house team, we partner with local craft artisans to support the sales of unique, local products which really capture the spirit of our special places. Widely regarded as a horticultural masterpiece, the elegant landscaped gardens at Sheffield Park are alive with colour and wildlife. Four lakes and gorgeous views make this picturesque location to work in. Family-friendly events are a key part of the visitor experience at Sheffield Park, and welcome people with plenty of shared ideas and energy to join us. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive and close-knit team in a place you’ll love working.

There is water everywhere - a series of interlinked man-made lakes display mesmerizing reflections of the trees and shrubs around the park. Explore over 100 acres of traditional landscape gardens originally laid out by Capability Brown and Humphry Repton in the 18th Century.

Sheffield Park & Garden is one of the most popular National Trust properties, welcoming on average over 300,000 visitors each year.
What you'll be doing

With your love of working with people and desire to provide an excellent service, you’ll acknowledge, welcome and engage every visitor, offering them help and advice with their purchases. This means you’re always on hand to help and the shop is maintained to a high standard.

With your enthusiasm and ability to spot selling opportunities, you’ll assist the whole Retail Team to deliver a loved and unique retail experience. Working alongside staff and volunteers, you’ll undertake day-to-day tasks and be engaged to exceed customer service expectations, being proud to talk about the amazing work the National Trust are carrying out from money is that is spent in our shop.

Consistently doing all you can to contribute to ensuring the shop delivers a fantastic retail experience is the core of being a Team Member at Sheffield Park & Garden. You’ll think of everything, from providing excellent customer experience and correct, clear pricing to presentation standards and creating unique displays. Unpacking and checking off deliveries, serving at the till, stock counting and remerchandising can all happen in a typical day!

For the plant sales area, ensuring the plants are watered, well cared-for and presented to their best throughout the seasons, alongside the many garden accessories we sell, is just as important as what goes on inside the Shop. No experience is necessary, just willingness to get stuck in!
