YHA Langdale are looking to recruit Seasonal Team Members for the upcoming season.

Our picturesque hostel is nestled in the heart of the English Lake District close to Ambleside and Grasmere with views over to Windermere. We see school activity groups pass through our doors along with families and individuals, even the occasional wedding. As well as the tasks mentioned below there is also the potential to be involved with the delivery of activities to school groups.

• We pay £9.50 per hour - rising to £10.42 from 1st March 2023 this role has flexible hours ranging from 25 hours per week to 42.5 hours per week

What will you be doing as a Seasonal Team Member?

Working on reception, providing information about the hostel and local area
Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties
Preparing food in the kitchen
Serving food and drinks front of house

Potential, if interested, to be involved in the delivery of activities to school groups.

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Seasonal Team Member?

We value lived experience just as much as previous skills and knowledge. We offer a robust induction, ongoing training, and further development, however, some of our roles will have further skills requirements.It’s an advantage but not essential that our team members have experience volunteering or working with other people.

Duties vary so good communication skills and basic IT skills are advantageous. Excellent time keeping is essential.
