Seasonal Team Member - Ennerdale, Cleator

YHA Ennerdale are looking to recruit a Seasonal Team Member for between 25 and 42.5 hours per week from March to October.

YHA Ennerdale is situated in a remote wooded valley and surrounded by fells, ridges, and famous peaks. For the eco-conscious it has an off-grid, hydro-electric and solar power supply and even collects its own drinking water! Previous hospitality experience would be an advantage but a passion for the remoteness of these locations is essential, off-grid living is not for the faint hearted. There is no mobile signal and no internet. 

A driving licence and own transport is highly recommended due to the nearest settlement being 5 miles away.

working on reception, providing information about the hostel and local area
carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties
preparing food in the kitchen
serving food and drinks front of house

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Seasonal Team Member?

We value lived experience just as much as previous skills and knowledge. We offer a robust induction, ongoing training, and further development, however, some of our roles will have further skills requirements.It’s an advantage but not essential that our team members have experience volunteering or working with other people.

Duties vary so good communication skills and basic IT skills are advantageous. Excellent time keeping is essential.
