Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, known locally as the “Caley”, was built in 1903 and is one of Edinburgh’s most significant landmarks. Working as a Guest Service Supervisor / Duty Manager the hourly rate on offer for the role is £11.20 per hour (plus gratuities which are shared across the team/ and you will also be included in our fantastic upselling program). 

As a permanent contracted Team Member, you will enjoy time and a half for any overtime, including bank holidays. 

At the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, we are proud to guarantee every team member at the hotel a UK Hilton Minimum Wage of at least £10 per hour! 

In the event of relocation from a different part of the UK or further, we can offer comfortable en-suite accommodation, on property until you find your new home (subject to availability).

As a Team Member for the Waldorf Astoria?Edinburgh – The Caledonian you are?responsible for overseeing your department to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience in accordance with the True Waldorf Service Standards. 

 

    Supervise and deliver Front Office operations to high standards  Serve as a point of contact for regular and VIP Guests  Complete daily admin duties  Welcome guests on arrival, deal with during stay queries and handle departure – all to standard.  Supervise, lead and coach the front line team to reach their potential  Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities  Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy  Represent the Front of House Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel and helping keep our guests and team safe  Your will usually work 5 days from 7, although this will change for business needs, requests etc.  Shifts are usually Early, Mid or Late and periodic night cover will also be scheduled.
