Are you looking for a customer focused, analytics management role in a fast paced and ever-changing environment?

The ASDA Customer Analytics Manager is responsible for delivering key data-led analytical projects to support the build of engagement and value with our customers with a specific focus on the Asda George brand. This is a role for someone who is motivated to champion the customers in decision making, is commercially minded and has a desire to influence our customer strategy through the use of data and analytics.

The customer is at the heart of everything we do - you'll produce actionable insights that helps drive the business forward and you'll be involved in a variety of analysis tasks including understanding the customer journey from beginning to end, measuring performance of key activity, working with our Customer Transformation team to define what products are needed and presenting key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

You will work closely with George stakeholders to take important business questions and, through data analysis, deliver timely and accurate solution-based outcomes which can be applied to support commercial leadership.

 

Your Role  

  • Proactive analysis to support strategic business decision making and operational analytical projects, including identification of risks and opportunities
  • In depth omnichannel analysis to better understand performances and customer behaviour variances across different Asda brand touchpoints with a focus on George & GM
  • Take analysis briefs and prioritising these into an analytics roadmaps across strategic priorities
  • Support value strategy development and pricing ad hoc analysis helping to better understand impact of price increases & decreases may impact customers & market share going forwards
  • Deliver stories and narratives from analysis and reports that can drive decision making
  • Work cross functionally to produce actionable insights to drive data-led decision making around marketing investment and customer experience
  • Support development, maintenance, and evolution of our approach to customer segmentations
  • Monitor engagement, retention, and behavioural trends of the Asda customer base, identifying risks and opportunities across customer segments
  • Define our reporting, analysis and customer analysis requirements & gaps, working with relevant teams to support development of foundational reporting and other insight tools
  • Analyse customer feedback and analytics to identify trends and 'pain points' in the customer journey and proactively drive solutions

 

About you 

  • Naturally curious, passionate about using data, tech and analysis to do the right thing for our customers
  • Technically adept, having a proven track record in SQL and Python
  • Experience in R, Alteryx, Tableau or Power BI desirable
  • Experience in retail / clothing / GM advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to present clear recommendations to multiple levels of management
  • Good commercial understanding of the key drivers of a retail / clothing / GM business
  • Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good knowledge of applying statistical techniques in retail analysis
  • Have a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Plenty of experience in customer analytics
  • A degree in Analytics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Strategy or a relevant analytical discipline would be advantageous
