ASDA are currently undergoing a large-scale project which will shape the whole of our future technology landscape. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic manual functional test analyst with a background in software testing to be a key part of this transformation.

You will be part of a team responsible for the testing of front-end technology developments within ASDA, working across three different sites. The role involves supporting the planning, design and execution of functional test cases on simple to complex software releases for Asda Point of Sale Systems.

What you will be responsible for:

• Assist the Test Lead in developing the test approach, test plans and test closure reports
• Reviewing requirements to write test scripts and scenarios, ensuring traceability back to requirements.
• Executing test scripts for Asda Point of Sale Systems and other front-end applications.
• Identifying and raising quality defect reports.
• Building collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Contributing to project meetings and providing support to the Test Lead.
• Reviewing documentation to ensure it is clear, correct and consistent.
• Assisting the Test Lead with gathering metrics for test reporting and provide daily updates
• Highlighting risks and issues in a timely manner

Please note this role is office based and you will be on occasion required to travel to our Wakefield site. There will opportunities to work from home occasionally, but most days will be in the labs, as testing is conducted on site. 

About You

You will have a good understanding of test best practice along with good knowledge of testing principles. 

You'll have experience as a Test Analyst with a good understanding of JIRA and HP ALM.
