Is this Housekeeping Supervisor role right for me?

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you are responsible for task assignment and supervision of Room Attendants and Linen Porters to deliver a quality product and above all an excellent guest experience. You are integral to the department for the monitoring of standards and performance and is embodied in taking ownership and responsibility for their assigned section and staff through:

  • Regular inspection of guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards for cleanliness and condition.
  • Be aware of all room categories and available amenities.
  • To check that queue rooms are acknowledged, prioritized and being returned in a timely manner.
  • To cover all jobs within Housekeeping which may include cleaning and office coordination duties as and when required.
  • To pay special attention to any additional cleaning or maintenance required in all rooms including areas specific to outside contractors such as window cleaning.
  • To continually check the work of Room Attendants and Floor Porters and to provide remedial training assistance or take suitable corrective action in cases where a member of staff's work is below the required standard.

For this role, you’ll also need:

You will be an excellent team player and have excellent communication and customer care skills. You will have pride and attention to detail in your work and be flexible, able to use your initiative and organise your daily activities well.  Ideally, you will have proven experience within a role within a similar environment.
