Location: East Ham, London

Salary: £26,250 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Contractual Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, some weekend and evening working may be required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Venue Hire and Events Manager at activeNewham, where you will be working in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people. You will actively manage the venue hire and event sales of 3 leisure centres to achieve sales, occupancy, and revenue targets, whilst managing the day-to-day venue hire and sales business and assisting with the planning of sales strategy.  You will be making a significant contribution to the community we support by helping the London Borough of Newham deliver on its 50 Steps to a Healthier Newham Strategy.

As a Venue Hire and Events Manager you will:

  • Previous experience in MRM / Bookings Systems – Processes and report generating desirable
  •  Understanding of local knowledge and sporting clubs within the area so that contacts can be made and assist with bookings.
  •  Sales experience regarding generating new leads and converting them into bookings and managing the process
  • Working within budgets and achieving targets
  •  Ability to write and submit financial budgets for forthcoming years based on analysis and performance of past years.
