Building Services Engineer

City Fitness and Wellbeing Centre (London) | Building Maintenance | Permanent | Full time
Up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

With a unique approach to complete health and wellbeing, we're a not for profit organisation driven by doing what's best for people - helping, supporting and encouraging them to be as healthy as they can be. Join us, and we'll do what's best for your professional and personal wellbeing too.

Nuffield Health is Britain's largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation. Join us as a Building Services Engineer in our City Fitness & Wellbeing Centre and play your part in building a healthier nation.

The Opportunity

As a Building Services Engineer, your remit will span the whole site - from the building shell to the surrounding grounds. The City Club is our flagship site in our consumer portfolio with 7000 members accessing the full range of services that Nuffield provides which include medical, fitness, and spa facilities across 90 000 sq ft. We are looking for an engineer to join our dynamic and successful team to help support our 5 star services.

As our Building Services Engineer you will:

  • Maintain the site's many facilities, including swimming pools, mechanical plant, air conditioning, heating and ventilation.

  • Make sure that all maintenance queries and issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively using an electronic CAFM system; safely and securely.

  • Inspire our building services team to strive for constant improvement, thanks to the way you lead by example.

  • Use your hands-on experience and electrical and mechanical skills, as you operate and maintain a viable and effective preventative maintenance programme.

The person

To succeed as a Building Services Engineer, you will need:

  • A trades qualification is desirable but not essential.

  • A pool plant qualification and an understanding of water hygiene systems, but this is not essential as we can provide full training.

  • Good knowledge of Building Management systems and safely find faults in a three-phase electrical control panel.

  • Experience of emergency lighting testing, PAT and other compliance areas in a large industrial unit.

  • Crucially, you will be driven to develop systems, improve your own skills and those of others, and help to build the strongest possible team around you.

Helping you feel good.

We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued. That's why we've developed a benefits package with you in mind. Find the right fit with our free gym membership, private healthcare and financial and emotional wellbeing support. At Nuffield Health, we take care of what's important to you.
