Holiday Club Coordinator - Bristol

Clifton College is a leading independent day and boarding school educating over 1,200 pupils aged 3 months to 19.

Founded in 1862, the College provides an exceptional all-round education that successfully combines a rich heritage with modern state-of-the-art facilities.

Located in one of the most beautiful suburbs of the vibrant city of Bristol, Clifton College continues to lead the way as one of the best independent schools in the country. The College aims to produce children of varied but definite character by combining fantastic academic results with first-class sport, diverse co-curricular activities and an outstanding environment. Clifton College offers day, flexi and full boarding and is a proudly inclusive and supportive community, with over 40 nationalities represented in its diverse student body.

Clifton College Holiday Club operates during each school holiday. We are looking for individuals with proven leadership abilities in sport/drama/arts & crafts activities to assist the management team in delivering our annual programme.

Holiday Club Coordinators are responsible for planning, organising and delivering the daily programmes for the age setting they are working in. Candidates must have knowledge and experience of running Play opportunities for children.

You should be well organised and able to work in a large, fast-paced and often challenging Holiday Club environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work well as part of a team, calmly, with energy and a sense of humour.

Applicants must have experience of delivering group activities for children. We are looking for individuals who are excellent role models for young children and can show initiative under pressure and bring enthusiasm to our team and the programme. Applicants must have experience of supervising colleagues as part of a staff team.

We operate weekdays of every Clifton College holiday, including half terms (approximately 18 weeks annually) and are keen to recruit candidates who are readily available throughout the year and not just during the Summer or other main holiday periods. The rate of pay is £10.91 per hour.

We are committed to creating and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce that better reflects the community we are part of. Applications are welcome from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of ethnicity, gender, age or disability. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups.

Clifton College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Clifton College is an equal opportunities employer.
