Outline Job Description:

The main tasks of a painter and decorator include:

• Supports the smooth running of the property maintenance department, where all areas are maintained to the highest levels
• Preparing work areas and protecting surfaces not requiring painting with covers or sheets
• Preparing areas to be painted - e.g. removing old paint, levelling surfaces, filling in cracks and holes etc.
• Painting interior and exterior walls using brushes, rollers, and other tools
• Executing artistic decorations, effects, and patterns etc.
• Applying coatings, coverings, and claddings on external walls
• Applying varnishes
• Inspecting painted surfaces and rectifying any flaws or defects
• Removing tools and supports and cleaning work areas
• Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned

This position will include shifts working Saturday and Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods, including bank holidays.

Salary: £11.00 per hour
