What you'll be doing

Trerice is part of the Heart of Cornwall Portfolio along with Trelissick and Glendurgan. Managed by the Operational Manager you’ll join a skilled and passionate property team. You'll be accountable for the day-to-day management, visitor operations and compliance for Trerice. You'll contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, collaborative work environment focused on delivering the Trust’s strategy. 
You'll work closely with regional consultants and Whole Trust delivery managers and lead staff and volunteers to deliver excellent visitor service and conservation standards. You'll have responsibility for key performance indicators (KPIs) across conservation, visitor experience, volunteering and staff satisfaction for Trerice. You'll carry out duty management as agreed locally and according to agreed rotas and will be prepared to get “stuck in” to whatever areas are needed to ensure the smooth running of Trerice.

Who we're looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you:
  • Have operational experience in a customer facing environment and / or historic properties.
  • Have previous leadership experience including supervisory, coaching and training experience. 
  • Possess a flexible customer focused approach with experience in delivery high standards of customer service. 
  • Have strong people skills, enabling good working relationships with those in your team and across the property portfolio.
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance requirements. 
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with diverse groups of people of varying ages, abilities and experience. 
  • Are able to work on own initiative without immediate assistance from manager.
