Level 3 Maintenance Apprentice – The Waldorf Hilton London

 

The Waldorf Hilton London is an iconic & historic London hotel built in the late 1800, located in Aldwych.

The hotel features 298 Guest Rooms, including 19 suites. Blending Edwardian “Du Siecle” with modern comfort. Our hotel sits in the center of London’s glitzy theatre district, just a few minutes’ walk from Covent Garden, The Royal Opera House and Trafalgar Square.

Our New bar MK47 opened in October 2021 that is in partnership with our local gin distillery offers sublime and sophisticated cocktails to our guests.

 

As an Engineering Apprentice with Hilton you will be working towards a Facilities Management Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 18 months.

What will I be doing?

An Engineering Apprentice will be required to undertake all reasonable duties as assigned by your head of department.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    Working within the Engineering department performing the day-to-day tasks of a duty engineer Comply with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations Complete all aspects of the apprenticeship programme Work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

    Positive attitude
    A certificate in a specialized field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing, required Current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work Experience in the Maintenance Department of a large hotel, hospital, ship, and/or restaurant complex or similar Strong work ethic
    Good communication skills Committed to delivering a high level of customer service Ability to work on your own or in teams The ability to deal with enquiries in a professional and polite manner
