 Key Account Manager - Home Based + Significant UK Travel

Summary 

Join the UK Key Account team to develop existing Key Accounts and identify new business customers. Hit and exceed sales targets and represent the Matrix brand in a professional manner.

Description of responsibility

Meet and exceed sales targets and product mix as agreed on an annual basis with the Director of Key Accounts or from time to time as agreed. Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, customers, and strategic partners.

Update the Key Account Director and Key Account Manager(s) on market conditions, including the competition, and in conjunction with them, develop and execute a national sales strategy to maximize results and efficiency.

Working with the internal teams, ensure the CRM system and all other admin requirements are kept up to date at all times.

Compile sales and forecast reports, as well as complete and manage tenders for new business as required.

Deliver product training both on use of products as well as the benefits of the products to the customer’s staff at all sites on a regular basis on all products in the range.

Continually learn about new product and industry knowledge and develop selling, inter-personal and business skills.

Attend internal sales meetings and represent the business at trade shows and new products launch events as required.

Work with the Key Account Director and Key Account Manager(s) on ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications 

Preferably educated to degree level, ideally with a Sports Science or Sports related degree.

Experience and skills

Proven selling, presentation, and interpersonal skills within the fitness sector are essential.  Good time management and organisational skills are fundamental, with an ability to self motivate as much of the role is spent working alone.
