We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef for our Casino Sports Bar- Full time 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate would be required to be fully flexible to work day and night shifts to cover prepping food items, cooking all day menu items for the gaming floor and to ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly by assisting in the food preparation and general up keep of the kitchen.

Key competencies & duties include:

• Management of a section during service
• Keep high hygiene standards
• Follow the stock rotation
• Manage M.E.P
• Prepare and finish specific dishes to the highest standards at the appropriate times in the required quantities in a cost effective manner
• Check food products received and to store according to company procedure

Skills and Experience required:

• Previous experience in a similar role is required
• Be able to work in a pressured environment
• Work well in a team with good communication skills
• Be creative but also need to be able to follow recipes
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
