Trainee Duty Manager - Lord Butler Fitness & Leisure Centre - Saffron Walden, Essex

Are you a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, high operational standards and a passion for fitness? If so, we are looking for you to join our Duty Management Team.

Supporting the Contract Manager and Operations Manager, you will lead and be accountable for staff on shift and the day-to-day operations of the Centre. You’ll follow 1Life’s processes and procedures to ensure the building is open, safe, and clean. 

As Duty Manager your main duties will include the management of the facility & programme of activities within the Centre, making sure all equipment is working, monitoring of all aspects of health and safety compliance and ensuring team members are welcoming customers with a first class service.  

You will take a hands-on approach to service delivery & be able to work on your own initiative to 'get things done'. 

Qualifications:

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is desirable

Pool Plant Operators Qualification is desirable but training can be provided where necessary.

A recognised fitness qualification is also desirable.

Working Pattern:

This is a full time position with a 40 hour per week contract. 

You will work as part of the management rota and be given a mix of early shifts, late shifts and weekends.

A degree of flexibility is required.
