Job Description

Data Operations Manager will manage current data systems, currently includes RAP, MDM, Wherescape DWH, Power BI, and ongoing changes in this data systems, working with Data Team Leads to develop future systems and services.

You will be responsible for the management of the Data & MDM support team and the service transition process for data changes and for the Production Support Services for Power Bi & MDM, ensuring availability of the service meets the Business requirements, working with our Service Providers to deliver this service.

Ensuring we are managing our Production services in line with best practice frameworks including ITIL, focusing on areas including Incident management, Release & Change management, Capacity & Problem Management also Continuous Service Improvement.

This position offers the opportunity to join a high performing team coupled the flexibility to work 2 days a week from home. 

Other accountabilities include:

  • Operational metrices
  • Data quality recommendation
  • Status report - based on demand
  • Change process documentation.
  • Supporting existing data systems, including RAP, MDM, CRM, Azure EBI, WhereScape, Power BI.
  • Supporting ongoing changes in data systems
  • Defining release processes.
  • Data Quality recommendations, or process improvements.
  • Impact analysis of 3rd party release on Rank Data systems
  • Business user communication relating to data services

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in leading data systems support functions.
  • Experience of working in a large scale and / or complex environments, Including MDM, CRM & BI platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience working with offshore software development & support teams, defining processes and delivering on expectations.
  • Significant experience of working internal and external Stakeholders, managing backlogs to ensure a clear understanding or deliverables.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in agile environments.
  • Release management experience, with associated resource and release planning, proficient with managing complex inter-dependencies.
  • Experience of working with data as a service.
