Whether it's running food to and from tables or handling enquiries, runners are at the heartbeat of a successful service and are partly responsible for the smooth transition between each table turn. Runners play a vital role in the guest experience and can greatly impact their lasting impression. You will develop a natural passion for having a positive impact on the guest experience helping your development into the server role.

Without runners, service risks falling behind schedule, guests could be missing items from their order and servers may not have the tools they need to do their job. It goes without saying that communication is key for this role, particularly with whoever is running the pass/expo and dispense, as this is where you will get the key information for your next task.
