Accounts Assistant - East Kilbride, Glasgow

Hours: 40 hours per week

Goals is the UK’s number one operator of small-sided football centres with 44 sites across the UK and over 600 staff employed. Our Head Office is in Peel Park, East Kilbride.

We are currently looking to add an Accounts Assistant to our existing Finance team. 

The role

• Dealing with all invoices, statement and queries received from suppliers
  • Scanning, saving and coding hard copy invoices 
  • Downloading and coding invoices received via central finance mailbox 
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve invoice/payment queries
• Preparing and posting purchase invoices 
  • Allocating to correct site
  • Coding to correct general ledger code
  • Posting against correct supplier
  • Assisting with invoice troubleshooting 
• Reconciliation and review of company petty cash spend
  • Referee and coaching payments
  • Ad hoc payments to local suppliers
  • Ensure all spend supported by receipt
  • Challenge spend where appropriate
• Reconciliation and review of company prepaid card spend
  • Ensure that all cards are loaded with pre-approved funds
  • Ensure all spend supported by receipt
  • Challenge spend where appropriate
• Reconciliation and review of employee expenses 
  • Ensure all spend supported by receipt
  • Challenge spend where appropriate

Systems

• Sage 200 – Accounting system
• Proactis – General purchase orders
• Fourth Hospitality – Bar purchase orders

Other requirements

• Knowledge of Excel
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Desire to take ownership of tasks 

Hours

• Full-time
• Monday to Friday 
• 9am to 5pm
