Southwark Quarter is a sprawling cultural campus nestled in London’s bankside next to Borough Market, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe theatre. Role profile:
Southwark Square is looking for passionate, driven and ambitious, enthusiastic commis chef to provide an excellent and impeccable guest experience.
As a commis chef you’re on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. In most kitchens you’ll do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de partie or section chef. You will need to keep the section organised and tidy.Key Duties:
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef.
- Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
- Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation.
- Working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer experience
- Attend and complete all training provided
- Maintain operational standards
- Assisting with opening and closing of kitchen area.
- Ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Keeping the kitchen clean.
- Assisting with Deliveries.
Requirements
- Must be able to work Evenings, Weekends and Late Nights.
- Knowledge of stock management.
- Have a genuine passion for what you do.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous experience working as commis chef.
