Senior General Manager - Goods Way, London

LOCATION: London, UK

REPORTS TO: Managing Director, London Venue Group

POSITION: Full Time

A key member of London Venue Group’s Leadership team, the Sr. General Manager holds overall accountability for the financial results, team engagement and business performance within the campus. They provide oversight and leadership to all pillars of the business, including sales & revenue, finance, people, marketing and operations. A leader of leaders, this individual is focused on driving success through coaching, mentoring and pushing the management team to challenge norms and deliver to the highest standards. The Senior General Manager has a keen awareness and understanding of the full range of revenue drivers within the business as well as the capacity to oversee multi-brand marketing campaigns. Always focused on improving efficiency, productivity and results, the Sr. General Manager will continuously examine processes for generating revenue, controlling costs and effective purchasing. The Senior General Manager is a member of the market’s senior leadership team and plays a key role in ensuring the success of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant leadership experience in the operation of multi-faceted environments including live music, night club, restaurants and bars.
  • Proven track record in driving top line revenue growth through effective collaboration with Sales & Marketing leadership.
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the Chief Executive Officer and other board members
  • Partner with the LVG Marketing Director and Commercial Director to create Sales and Marketing Plans for all business units
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the Marketing and Commercial teams in execution of the Sales Marketing plans, suggesting pivots and improvements as business needs change.
  • Play an active role in ensuring top line growth through an entrepreneurial approach to driving revenue through a variety of channels.
  • Lead the management team to achieve the highest level of business results through coaching to objectives as well as constant examination of processes and guest experience.
  • Maximize EBITDA growth through consistent examination of full P&L, pulling levers as necessary to increase revenue, promote efficiency and control costs. Partner with Finance Director on budgetary control across full P&L in accordance with operational needs
  • Work with Market MD and PCD to conduct regular talent reviews and develop action plans to ensure bench strength and effective succession planning.
  • Implement and enforce compliance and company policies as appropriate.

Requirements

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS + PREREQUISITES

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant leadership experience as operations in a multi-faceted environment including live music, night club, restaurants and bars.
  • Proven track record in driving top line revenue growth through effective collaboration with Sales & Marketing leadership.
  • Self-motivated leader with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Able to think creatively about driving business, resolving problems and optimising resources.
  • Proven coaching, mentoring and development skills.
  • Demonstrable business acumen with the ability to analyse and report on financial and quantitative data in concise and actionable formats
  • Deep and broad experience using a variety of digital applications to manage business processes
