We’re looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised project officer to support the development and delivery of the Trust’s new intranet. You will be an essential part of the Acorn project team providing coordination, tracking and communications and engagement support in the delivery of the new Acorn. 



What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Senior IC Manager – Acorn, you’ll work as part of the project team and in partnership with IT and IC and a wider group of stakeholders eg People team, external partners and senior internal stakeholders. 

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meet with stakeholders and to carry out work.  



What you'll be doing

As a project officer supporting the delivery of the Acorn  

  • Supports senior IC manager in managing and monitoring the IC project plan  
  • Prepares IC project updates and progress reports for boards and leaders 
  • Supports delivery of the Acorn tactical comms and engagement plan (Acorn hub, webinars, Briefing) 
  • Supports user engagement Eg focus groups, gathering and analysing feedback 
  • Supports delivery of the Acorn content strategy, Acorn migration and training plan

  • Some previous project management involvement and experience.   
  • Experience and understanding of content management systems 
  • Experience of delivering communication plans and creating engaging content 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including some public presentation experience. 
  • Excellent people and influencing skills, enabling relationships externally and internally, to be built and maintained. 
  • Experience of records management and information systems.   
  • Knowledge of budgets, finance and co-ordination of projects.   
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and to prioritise based on the demands of others
