Swimming Teachers
Based: Cambridgeshire Partnership. (Abbey Leisure Complex, Parkside pools & Gym and The Hive - Ely)
Shifts, incl. day time, evenings and weekends (Flexible working)
GLL is looking for Swimming Teachers based in Cambridge or surrounding areas.
We are the largest Swim School in the UK and our continued growth means we are looking to employ a growing number of Swimming Teachers. So, if you have the qualifications and training needed to teach people of all ages and abilities how to swim, join us as a Swimming Teacher and play a key role in supporting more children and adults to learn an invaluable life skill.
As a qualified Swimming Teacher, you'll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. Taking a pupil's nature and needs into account, you'll draw on your knowledge of practices, progression and teachings points and apply it in the most effective way. Our model involves around team teaching, working together to get the most out of every pupil. Naturally being able to work effectively in a team is vital to ensure that lessons run as effectively as possible meeting the needs of all pupils.
We're looking for Swimming Teachers who are approachable, with the friendly, patient nature needed to build people's trust, motivate pupils and encourage with praise. You will need knowledge of progressive practices for strokes and skills linked to the Essential and Advanced Swimming Skills. Knowledge of health, safety and other relevant legislation will be vital too, as will an understanding of Child Protection Policy.
We accept the following qualifications:
STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming
STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming
Swim England/Swim Wales/ Swim Scotland/ Swim Ireland - Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming
RLSS NPLQ Qualifications are essential
International Swimming Teaching Qualifications are reviewed on a individual basis against UK qualification frameworks
