Job Details
Open Water Lifeguard (SESA) - Stoke Newington West Reservoir Centre
GLL is looking for Lifeguards / Recreation Assistants for our Open Water Swimming (OWS) programme at West Reservoir Water Sports Centre in Stoke Newington, North East London. This unique venue is an oasis of calm in the middle of urban London and hosts a variety of Watersports for all ages including open-water swimming, sailing, SUP boarding and kayaking to name a few. To ensure you stay at the top of your game, we'll provide you with training for both the practical and theory elements of the role.
Water safety can't be underestimated, even more so with open water - and neither can the responsibility that comes with this vital lifeguarding role. Our scale means we can also offer scope to progress, and variety like nowhere else - from regular kayak rotations, supervising and cleaning the open water area, to setting up equipment and delivering a first-class customer service when dealing with queries. Do your job well, and there shouldn't ever be an emergency. But if the unexpected should happen, you'll be equipped with the skills to potentially save a life.
If you're calm under pressure, highly responsible and a natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to develop as a Lifeguard. We look for integrity, a can-do attitude and a real focus on customer service. Passion and personality will also stand you in good stead, combined with knowledge of health and safety legislation plus, kayaking skills and the converted Swim Event Safety Award (SESA). You'll provide water safety in an open kayak, so you'll need to have some kayaking experience. A great team player, you'll make sure our customers have the best possible experience - in terms of enjoyment, safety and hygiene.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
If you have the passion and skills for this role, apply now.
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.
GLL is an equal opportunities employer.
